In partnership with the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, the City of Brantford and the County of Brant, the B-Home Program has been developed to assist low to moderate income earners realize the dream of owning their first home.
The purpose of the B-home Homeownership Program is to:
- Make first time home ownership a reality for low to moderate income households in Brantford/Brant
- Ease the demand for rental housing by assisting renter households to buy affordable houses
- Offer down payment assistance for homebuyers through a 5% forgivable loan to a maximum of $17,500
Eligibility of Applicants:
- Must be 18-years or older.
- Must be a first time home buyer.
- Not own or have an interest in other residential properties or owe arrears/damages to another housing program.
- Must be currently renting in Brantford or Brant County, and also looking to purchase a home within Brantford or Brant County.
- Household income before deductions less than $88,400* and assets must not exceed $30,000.
